Only 349 Type S left

Hey everyone. So to give everyone an update. My NSX is still on the rack without any damage. The collapse side of the building did not affect my car. However, they still have not come up with a plan on how to retrieve the car out.

All I hope is that the emergency management team will come up with a solution to bring all the unaffected cars out. I really want to have my Type S back as it is part of my Honda cars.

As for those fellow members who criticize me about hiding my car number. Once I get the type s, I will tell everyone. My main objective is to have a Type S and not making any money, like most flipper. The reason I ask for the pricing history is that I want to make sure that my insurance company pay me the value that I can get another nsx Type S if it is crushed.

Shouldn't you already know the # of your car...as you did park it there...and by parking it there did you not already reach your objective?

the number is irrelevant at this point. why can't we just be happy for him that his car was spared this catastrophe. so happy to know car is ok and hopefully not damaged on removal.. lets also remember that lives were lost during this event and the real people at fault here are the owners the grange that used profit over safety ...

thanks for the support and all the comments.

They just got my car out with marginal damaged. The front windshield is shattered and the carbon fiber roof has a dent.(this is damage from a water sprinkle pipe that came off as a result of building collapse). The rims have some curb rash from leaving the lift and the carbon fiber diffuser has scratches( that is totally understandable because the wheels are less than 1 inches from the tray of the lift). I will have the auto shop lift up the car to see if there are additional damaged under the car.
The demolition company is Capital Industries in Yonkers and they are amazing. I was thinking they will use the heavy machine to grab the car out. In that case, my car will be total lost. They built a 18ft ramp from basement with debris to let the cars be driven out from ground floor to the street. If they did not built that ramp, the car will have more damages. Then, the NYC’s DOB workers wash the car to certified that there are no asbestos hazard.
The engineer whom came up with the ideal and built the ramp has a NA2 Berlin’s Black NSX.

The car serial number is unit 203/350 if that is the number that everyone is chasing. Since my intention is to keep the car, I don’t care if the carfax or my title shown damaged.

Thanks for the support. Getting the car back makes me feel better. Even I get another brand new NSX Type S, it is still not my original unit 203.

Very sorry to hear! What color was your Type S? Was it 130R or Casino White like your previous NSX?
It is a casino white like my 2019 NSX. The only differences are that I opt for the full red leather seat in the Type S. The 2019 one has alcantara/ red seat. 2019 has steel rotor and this one has ceramic brake. The 2019 has interwoven polish wheel and this one has the Berlin’s black wheel. I still have both cars with me and glad to get my Type S back.

This is why I think the NSX community is the best in the world. What a story! Glad you got your car back with only marginal damage. That stuff should be fixable without affecting the title.

The real tragedy is that front license plate on the type S. But in all seriousness I'm glad the damage was minor and you weren't anywhere around the car when the collapse occurred.
