Has anyone order a GT-one exhaust straight from the manufacture? I heard they went bankrupt but their site is up and they are actually having some sort of summer sale. I recieved a repsonse from Hitoshi Tamura (GTROM ceo) and he said they can still build them. Thanks

Even after their posssible bankruptcy, you were still able to receive all the parts you ordered?

I ordered before there was any mention of issues, but all news of these 'issues' has come from other vendors, who have an interest in you not ordering from gt-rom. Hitoshi has been selling items on a regular basis using Yahoo Japan auction service, for the last few months, and seems to be shipping parts out.

I'd be careful ordering directly. I was having great communication with Hitoshi a few months ago when I was trying to purchase an exhaust through him. After I sent $$$, never heard from him. Luckily, I was able to get the charge off my card.

John, I'm pertty sure Hitoshi is not going to tell you or the public the problem he's having!!!

But he sells parts at auction, and about a week later, receives positive feedback on YJ - so he is shipping parts, at least to buyers in Japan.

If I needed anything from gt-rom, I would place my order direct, although I suppose its a bit like Dali, I have purchased many items from Hitoshi, they have all arrived without issue, but its going to be the greatest customer service ever until the guy stops talking to you, and doesn't ship you your trim ring (reference to Mark Johnson).

I understand that, perhaps he's under some kind of restriction.

I know the debt issue is still on going and he's website is still up, so I'm sure he can conduct business up to certain capacity.

At least you didn't learn that lesson after paying for a 4k clutch.

Buyer beware on the direct buy method. Protect yourself in every reasonable way.

Man I really want to pick up the ver 4 exhaust. They are having a pretty good deal on it right now (1800 shipped according to the site) but im scared of not receiving my item...

i didn't knew that Hitoshi would accept anything else but money transfer :confused:

I knew it was a bit sketchy buying from him, so I told him the only way I could pay was through credit card, and he agreed.

Damn glad I didn't wire him $$$.

I've heard that his problems have had a knock on effect on some companies that are owed money.
