Greetings NSX owners...

The Florida Chapter of the NSX Club of America will be hosting our 5th annual Holiday luncheon on Sunday Dec.5, 2004 from 11am to 3pm at the beautiful Grand Cypress Golf and Country Club in Orlando Florida www.grandcypress.com.

A plated lunch with a choice of three entrees with salad and dessert will be served at noon on the outdoor patio of the Mediterranean clubhouse overlooking the finishing holes of the North and South course. The cost is $40 per person. NSXCA members in good standing will receive a $10 discount per person.

Special parking has been arranged in a manicured grass covered lot that is excellent for photos, both group and individual that will be taken just prior to lunch. For those arriving early, car washing has been arranged.

For those who wish overnight accomodations 12/4 at the Villas of Grand Cypress please contact me separately by email.

RSVPs will be accepted by emailing your name, number attending, your NSXCA membership status (you may JOIN the club and still receive the discount) to [email protected]. Check this forum for details of the menu early next week. Paypal will be used to collect payment for meals in advance.

Last year we had 26 NSXs! Let's try to get 40 this time!

Hi Wei-Shen - Sharon and I are in. Maybe this trip we won't have to dodge fallen trees!
Any other Tampa area folks are welcome to caravan with us. We are only a couple of miles off I-4 at exit 14 (McIntosh Rd).

Additional news....Gary Milgrom who is a representative of the company that makes the HANS device is donating a deluxe helmet/HANS device carry bag that retails for $85 as a door prize for our luncheon. I have several additional sponsors lined up!

You may have heard that my NSX engine failed at Watkins Glen. It is currently in Atlanta having a diagnostic teardown. Looks like we might have lost the valve train on the rear three cylinders. Also I was in a wreck on track while instructing another driver. Sustained minor injuries and am healing quite nicely. Both events happened in a 24 hour span Oct.11. NOT a good day!

It will be great to see you both. Spread to word to any NSX owners, whether they are members or not. Let's try to recruit them! We already have the second largest state membership in the US.

Armando, that photo is not altered from the original image! No photoshop. You were moving FAST!

For the photo bugs, it was shot with a Nikon D2H at medium res, 4 megapixel, 400mm/3.5 ED-IF Nikkor lens (600mm equivalent in digital). I used to shoot professionally for United Press International before they went bankrupt covering the Cleveland Browns, Indians, and Cavaliers.

I'll send you the file.

Quick update folks.

We have had to eliminate the choices of soup, salad, and dessert due to the location of our event and the number of people attending. You will still have your choice of entrees. The soup is chicken noodle, the salad is the "cypress" and the dessert is the apple tart with ice cream.

For those wishing to stay overnight, I would recommend that you pick a hotel at the intersection of 535 and I-4 in Lake Buena Vista, about 2 miles from the golf resort. The Villas are fairly expensive although they are very spacious ($215 for a 1 BR, $430 for a 2B 1600 sq.ft sleeps 6).

We are up to 22 people and counting!
