i know we have several norwegian members and i want to wish them all the best in the months / time ahead. i hope none of you, your family or friends were physically injured and that a feeling of normalcy - as much as can be hoped for - returns to norway soon.

The police have charged the nationalist for both the bombing and the shooting. They are investigating if there was a second shooter involved as well.

He's just been sentenced to jail for 8 weeks (first 4 in full isolation) as the police investigate and build their case.

He will be prosecuted under our terrorism laws, wich will probably result in him getting more than Norway's maximum of 21 years in jail.

First, its kind of incomprehensible to me that Norway has a "max" of 21 years. What about for something like a serial killer who massacres 100 kids over the course of 20 years? They can't get life? That said, even if they *dont* prosecute this guy under terrorism laws, he'll probably *ask* for more time there.
