i have 2000 targa and was thinking of painting the center of the roof black its a white car so the 2 rails on the side of the roof will be white. its the new glass roof look like the new benz has s550 and the vw eos has what do u guys think and can someone photoshop it for me ive never seen it done on a nsx

yes but they need to switch the side rails on the targa panel to achieve the proper look

I think you need to paint the upper part of your windshield bar black and rear Targa bar black to finish off the look.

thats right paint the targa bar and the top of the winshield and leave the side rails white but why would u need to change the side rails?

Why not go to a vinyl shop and get a sticker to cover the places you want? That way if it comes out wrong you can fix it easier then reapinting it again.

Nice idea! Like the kind they use on cop cars, and such.

Or you could do a quick photochop. Unfortunately, the only from-above shot I found of a white NSX was one that seemed to have a veilside kit on it, but it'll do for a general idea:

i like the way just the roof looks like and i think im gonna do it but i dont know if i should paint it flat black or gloss black. i live in vancouver canada and see alot of imports with flat black center roofs any opinions on flat or gloss.

Why don't you try doing this? If you don't like it down the line you can just remove it instead of damaging the original paint. It'll probably cost $500-$1,000 since it's only the roof.

Beat me to it, for those guys I see post whether they should paint the roof top black IE: white NSX's I would do this as an alternative. When your tired of it just pull the vinyl back off. I am debating this with my new color now.

Decalfx.com sells vinyl sheets that you can apply yourself. Given the approx. dimensions of the roof, trim, and mirrors, you can probably complete the two-tone look for about $150.

As others have pointed out, you can remove it if you want something different.
