There has been a rattle emanating from the center console behind the parking brake. When driving. the rattle comes on only at 2500-2600rpm. If I park and rev the engine to that rpm range it only happens when the parking brake is not engaged. It appears that the cable tension makes it go away. The problem is that I cannot seem to locate the exact thing that causes the rattle. It really appears to come from below the center cubby where the parking brake adjustment is located. It could even be coming from the underside of the car. Has any one else experienced this or found a way to fix this? Thanks.
