Yesterday I went down to Mike Harvey Acura in Burlingame and spoke to the parts department manager about getting a price break for club members. I told him about the deal we get at Niello and said that there's a pretty big NSX community here in the Bay Area that would like to do business right here rather than in Sacramento.

He agreed to give club members (he never asked to see an NSXCA card however) a 20% discount to start and he will increase it to 25% if he gets enough business from us. IMO this is huge for him to offer us this after just a casual conversation.

Just ask for Gene, the manager, or Ferd (Ferdinand) and tell them you're a club member. It's time to start that Christmas list! Hmmm, 2002 facelift, new brakes and rotors...

My local dealer in Pleasanton also agreed to 20% w/o much effort when challenged with the 30% Niello rate - I think most will give this discount with little effort.
For little stuff, 20% is good enough IMO to save hassle (& cost) of shipping etc, but that additional 10% becomes significant on big-ticket items

Mike Harvey has been great to me with parts available the next day at the latest. To make it easy, here's their direct line (650) 579-4220.

Competition is good. Havig choices is even better; and there is something to say for convenience.

But a friendly reminder, if you do not support those who have been supporting you for years with the deepest discounts, and offering a huge sponsorship for NSXPO 2003, they may start fading away as business trickles down, and then we all lose for having chased occasional new players ......... for big ticket items, Niello has been known to toss free shipping as well.

Disclosure: Niello Acura is and has been a sponsor of NSXCA Sacramento Chapter since 2000.

Hrant, I agree with you 100%! I went to Niello for all my parts for the front rebuild of my car, except, of course, for the Style nose, and they treated me very well. But for a set of brake seals or fender clips I like to keep it local.
