Pending Stero Problem!

The stero in my '91 (24K miles) has begun making popping noises, almost like a heartbeat. The beats get progressively quicker for about a minute then subside. I'm sure this is the harbinger of something evil, anyone want to guess as to what that is and how I may prevent the worst from happening?

It's the amplifiers. Go to the NSX FAQ (answers to Frequently Asked Questions), which you can access by clicking on the word FAQ in the red bar at the top of your screen which looks like this:

Then click on Troubleshooting, then click on Sound System to read all about it.

Yes, as Ken said it is not a stereo problem, but a speaker problem. The amps need to be repaired. Very common, very easily done, and not that expensive.
