I have 2 pairs of Pilotis and they are very comfortable... but wearing them for extended periods isn't that great as they don't breathe at all....... sweaty feet!

Absolutely correct. I read papers on this and there is a strong correlation between index finger and I think it was the base of the hand. Very complex formula...
