Keep in mind that the real street going version is worth well over a million

Did you get any pics of the underpinnings of that thing? This could not have been a cheap body to produce.

Wow, for some reason I really wasn't expecting a tube frame chassis and an LSx engine. Porschephiles would likely abhor it but I think it's great.

Take any pics of the filtration system? ;)

Thats a 996 GT1 as opposed to a 993

The street GT1 came out in two forms over two years. They were the same but with different aero-d front & year fender, headlights etc. They are definitely NOT 996 based although they had water cooled cylinder heads if I remember correctly....

The replica does look similar to the early version GT1...

I've actually been in Alan McNish's Le-Mans winning car :biggrin:and am an old friend of Peter Dumbreck who flipped (famously) the Mercedes :eek:

Wow. So did it even started off its life as a real 911? Or a is it a kit-car?

It has the front glass, interior dash, doors, and b-pillar section from a 911, my guess would be there is some kind of donor 911 in there somewhere, although the frame is fully custom.

A great-looking car, that probably drives like a rocket-ship; this is the car that inspired my purchase of Kinesis K29's for the nsx.
