Ever since I bought my car I've had dramas with the EPS . To save from a long story , It turns out to be a faulty Torque sensor error 12 in the Motor Assy . So I sourced a new rack from a dismantler for $400 out of a 20k mile car appears in very good condition save for a small ding on the torque sensor cover . Fitted it And still no go , in fact it had more errors than the old rack 12/13/14 .I dismantled my old rack Torque sensor unit and there is some very sensitive electronics in there , this rack would have been damaged in the smash it had . I have had it with this problem!! , what should I do?
a > Continue with the EPS fault finding and find another rack , see If I can get my $400 back or
b > Get a manual rack save some weight and be done with it . seeing as its a 91 manual car it makes sense , though I really would like EPS seeing the hardware is there .
BTW its not the EPS Control unit, Power unit or harness causing the problem , been down that road .
Thanks
