The factory warranty is going to expire on my '03 in a few months and if the price is right I might purchase an extension. Anyone know where I can get a good deal on one? Also, does anyone know the dealer cost? (PM me the latter info if you wish)

Thanks

Simo, don't you have some turntables to tend to?

I've got a number in mind and if I can buy the warranty for it, I will. I'm such a fussy bitch about this car I'll take the piece of mind that'll come with the warranty.

Yup, just got back from my run. I'm on it.

I hope the price is worth it. Once you go FI i'm sure anything related to the drivetrain won't be covered, unless you have a cool mechanic who will take everything off for you before the adjuster comes out  There is really nothing that will break on the car. Other misc. replacement parts can be bought used for very cheap and replacing those parts won't take that long to put in or cost much..... If there is any way I can talk you out of it.....

Any other opinions?

Answer to your question:
Try Pierceman/Planet Acura. Matt might be able to hook you up.

As for if it is worth getting or not, do whatever make you happy.

My worthless opinion:
Since you are going FI, it is likely to be pointless. You might want to inquire about the coverage and ask about what they will cover in a very unlikely case that FI motor go kaboom. If the extended warranty is cheap like around $500. In that case I personally would buy it just to have it.

Jim was your NSX certified? If it's certified it's covered Limited warranty 12 months or 62,000 miles the date you took delivery and drive train is 7 year 100,000 miles on the first owner that took delivery. It should be on your contract that you sign unless you bought it from an private party?

paid $2000 for mine. Total waste. I've never had a SINGLE THING break on my nsx. EVER. Other than headaches related to my supercharger install (ECU and tuning issues). I should have kept my $2k. oh well. 7 yrs old, 48000 miles.
