problem with CD player

My CD changer doesnt advance tracks sequentially, its very random , ie. playing CD 3 track 3, then I press next track , it plays track 9, 5, 13 etc.

what should I do ?

1) I have the balance my warranty, does the warrranty cover this ?

2) since mine is 2003, should I replace the changer myself and get CD/MP3 capable changer ? I like this feature and dont really care for the radio.

3) Can I get lucky and have my dealer fix it and pray I get the new CD changer with MP3 ?

Wipe the fingerprints and other possibly unmentionable bodily fluids off the discs.

The dealer will not give you any other changer that is not OEM to the car. Just turn it in and let them take care of it.

Sounds like you have random play selected - that is the 'A' select button (I think I recall it has a small LED by it)
Anyway try de-selecting 'A' Select & see if your problem goes away.
May save some embarrassment of 'operator error' problem! :biggrin:
