Hi everyone, I have a 95 C220 mercedes with 132K miles which is my daily driver. I just found out i need some major work done including headgasket and wring harness. This along with some minor suspension repair will be over 4500 dollars :frown: . Cant afford another "new" car until i join residency this july. If you were me, would you get this car repaired or sell the benz and buy something more reliable like a honda/toyota. I dont want to drive the NSX on a daily basis atleast during winters. Thanks for your help.

Will the benz be worth 4500 more than it is worth currently if you make the repairs? If not trade it in on something else. What would the trade-in value of the benz plus the 4500 dollars buy you?

Definitely drive something reliable for a daily driver. You can't go wrong with a completely made and assembled in Japan Honda/Acura or Toyota/Lexus.

How confident are you in the diagnosis? If the car runs it might be worth getting a 2nd opinion from a recommended tech. I wouldn't spend that much to fix it regardless. You could get a '96 Camry for that much or less probably.
