PRODRIVE GC-05F weight vs. stock 03

Just installed a set of 17" /18" PRODRIVE GC-05F wheels on my NA2 with FALKEN FK 452 tires.

some weight info:

Factory 03 BBS 17"/17"
FRONT: 17x7 +55 with 215/40/17 Falken Azenis 615 = 38lbs. ea
REAR: 17x9 +56 with 255/40/17 Falken Azenis 615 = 45lbs. ea

Prodrive GC-05F 17"/18"
FRONT: 17x7.5J +44 with 215/40/17 Falken FK452= 38lbs. ea
REAR: 18x9.5 +44 with 255/35/18 Falken FK452 = 45lbs. ea


even with the 18" w/tires, Prodrive GC-05F kept the same weight as the factory 17" BBS. Pretty impressive. All tire conditiions were brand new at the time of scale.

Great to hear the larger Prodrives are less weight than even the new forged BBS made wheels.

Thats great that you could upgrade to a 17/18 combo and not add any weight, but did you consider that some tires weigh more than others. Have you tried weighing just the wheels without tires to get a better comparison? Anyways like I said, being able to upgrade and not add weight is a plus no matter what.

yes, I believe Azenis 615 is a bit heavier than the new 452 since 615s have stiffer side walls compared to 451s or 452s. although few pounds of weight differences are not noticeable in street driving, it does look nicer with 18" in rear with added offset.
