The answer is probably no, as I've generally tried to keep everything on this site open to the public, but please be more specific about what type of material you are talking about. If you see a need to set something up, it can probably be done.

i was thinking of hosting an NSX video clip, but it's sorta large and my high-speed webhost will only let 300MB transfer out of my site per month (so i would want to stop non-prime users from leeching as much as possible)

Try logging out then try accessing the profiles. I have no problem accessing profiles when not logged in.
