So there was nothing left in the machine candy wise, but some dusty Mallo cups. Been a long time since I had one, so I thought, hey, maybe I'll see how much I got in play money.......

It was a 50 cent piece! And on the label, it said, MUST HAVE 500 POINTS to receive $1.00 check.

Hm. A stupid challenge, but a challenge nonetheless. And I like Mallo cups too. So, I am therefore making it a life goal to receive my $1.00 Mallo Cup check in the mail. Because everyone must have at least one really asinine pursuit :D

Here's where we're at so far.....

I became obsessive, and since Tuesday, I have eaten 14 Mallo cups, or 7 pairs, at 65 cents each pair, and have accumulated a total of 165 points, in the following order:

50 points - 2
25 points - 1
10 points - 2
5 points - 2

Total expenditure on this quest thus far: $4.55

Gonna be interesting to see how much this buck's gonna cost me

LOL! You do realize that you don't have to actually eat every single one of them right?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! :tongue::biggrin::tongue::biggrin::tongue: This is fantastic!!!

What's a Mallo Cup?

Seriously, what's a Mallo Cup? Never heard of it.

I used to collect those cards all the time when I was a kid. I swear my buddy had a $1 card.

I've never heard of this candy before. But I'm going to assume that my dad used to buy it at Woolworth's. It was probably in the candy aisle right between Bazooka Joe gum and Necco Wafers.

...Not terrible for you either, considering that it's candy.....only 200 calories for a 2 cup package.

I commend you on trying to get the $1.00 reward, but in the end you may get something that will last much longer than a buck. Diabetes.

LOL

I still see Mallo Cups now and then, usually at novelty type candy places since they are an older name brand that kids/people are too young to recognize. Anyone outside of California, just head to the local Cracker Barrell restaurant and you'll see some in their little shop.

Maybe I'll just order the catalog now....after all, since I ate 46 packages of them over the last few months without cracking a sweat :biggrin: , I should probably send for the catalog.

Wonder how many Mallo Cups I'd have to eat to get, say, a Mallo Cup Harley? I assume it would come with a free insulin pump

Just borrow some glucophage or metformin from someone and go on a Mallo bar binge. You can probably eat 50 in one day without killing yourself.

If it's anything like most other contests, you'd need about 46,000 just to get a t-shirt.

You are going to shoot your eye out. :D

Glucophage(trade name)/Metformin(generic name) is an oral medication used that is commonly prescribed for people with Adult onset Diabetes Mellitus.

Halfway through a root canal, now I'm wondering if this was such a good idea.....

I overdid on these so badly that I can't stomach them anymore

Have more than enough cards to get a couple Mallo cup checks, I still hafta send them in.

I would have done the root canal and you could have paid me with fresh White Castle sliders!

Good luck with the root canal and you must get a crown on that tooth ASAP.
