ok so i got back from the airport tonight and did a brisk 1st gear pull to redline one the way home... well actually i got to about 7k rpm then i basically hit a brick wall and the power cut, i let off the throttle and it went back to normal, no check engine lights or error code indicators from what i can tell, btw i had TCS ON. does this sound like TCS killing power, or does it sound like my engine is in 'limit rpm limp mode' i'm sure more details would be helpful but i'm really tired and want to go to sleep. recall no check engine light stuff was on,

-thanks

It sounds like the car wasn't warmed up yet. The rev limiter kicks in at 7k rpm when the car is cold.

How long were you in the car before your redline pull? From the limited details posted, it sounds like your rev limiter kicked in because the engine was cold. If you had been driving a while, did you notice where the engine temp gauge needle was pointing at?

ah touche, yeah actually i am pretty sure my car wasnt warmed up yet, as in my bliss of getting my car back i didnt let it warm up. ok note taken, thanks guys
