Even since I got the car from RyanITV, I noticed a streak of what seems like oil on the rear defrost glass (no engine cover) and the glass between the cabin and the engine bay.
It is a clear oil. First i thought there were some water around belt that kept splashing up but after a few hunder miles, it doesn't stop.
Could it be leaking from the bearing, maybe it's going out?

Thanks,
Sung

Sorry no answer on the oil, can tell you that you are a sought after man:tongue:

Just linking the two threads.

Depending on what type of blower you have and how much oil is leaking out onto the belt you *may* have a serious problem. However, a small amount of oil venting is typically ok. Unfortunately, I had the same symptoms except it was very servere and spraying lots of oil. It turned out to be a waranty-able issue, but it was somewhat complicated.

Be sure to check the oil level in the CTSC, but make sure you do NOT overfill it. Also, the oil will degrade the SC belt over time.

Talk to Comptech. It is the blower, you need to check the oil level. It uses 20W50 Redline and is almost clear in color. Check along the blower neck, especially under it, to see if it is weeping. This is not necessarily bad, you may just have to wipe it off occasionally.

My Autorotor CTSC also has a slight oil seepage from the screw on the blower nose. I wipe it off every now and then, but the leak from my CTSC is nothing like SaberX's leak. Other than that, how's the car running?

Thanks for the info guys. The car is.... well, it's running.
I barely have a chance to drive it.

mine does it too and it's been discussed before at length....nothing to worry. You can now sleep well at night:biggrin:

you, my friend, have a huge problem on your hands.

tell ya what...

you send me that trouble-making car down here and me being the great guy I am will send my worry-free car up there. since mine doesn't have a supercharger on it you can rest assured you won't have to worry about the supercharger breaking!

Hey! Don't knock on my first love:tongue:
Since Ariel never put rims on his car, I will be the only one known as the guy with a Yellow 02+ NSX with wheels:biggrin:

hey i heard that. hehehehe

i like my OEM's:smile:

I just noticed a light spray just as described by several of you. Maybe it's just because I haven't cleaned the inner glass for a long time. Has this turned into a problem for anyone, or am I just being paranoid?

On my 1st NSX that wasn't S/C'ed, I noticed the same thing. A very very light amount of oily residue on the rear window. It appeared to be behind the passenger side, kinda above the alternator.

I don't think it's the s/c, or at least in my case it wasn't.
Took it to a shop and they found some other hose or fitting that was slightly loose.
I still have some but not much as before.

Funny, I saw this too in the last couple of hundred miles; freaked me out. A small squirt when I stepped on. I have been checking the oil level, not overfilled, in fact slightly below (maybe 1/10th) below the full line. Oil is only a few hundred miles old, in fact this started happening right after I changed the oil...

Called Shad, he said the same thing. Car will be parked for most of the winter, so won't have much of an opportunity to test it again.

If you keep the engine cover you won't notice oil on the glass:wink:

Why I oughta!!!
