Radiator fan noise

This has happened twice. I turn the car on, start to drive and I hear what sounds like the fan blades hitting the spare tire? whatever is going on in there I cant tell, and i dont want to let it keep happening while I try to Investigate the cause. I just normally turn the car off and start it up again. Problem solved.

It sounds like a playing card in a little kids bike spokes. Thats the closest description I can think of.

Anyone have any Ideas what this could be?

ABS pump

Just keep driving. It should stop in a matter of seconds. Usually happens when the car has sat without being driven for quite a while. Radiator fan shouldn't kick on until the motor gets hot.

If that IS the cause, what is going on in there and how bad is it? whats the worst that can happen?

Normal and comon, pump sounds like crap but have never heard of one failing, just enjoy driving your NSX.
