The radio volume ring on my car is worn away, revealing the clear plastic underneath. While this is not too noticeable in the day, at night the orange light shines through. Am I right in assuming that this ring, along with the power button simply slides off? How much is the ring? Does it come with the volume buttor, or can it be purchased seperately? Thanks in advance.

Maybe Acura/Honda products are seperate, but I work for a Ford dealership and you can never get the buttons by themselves.

Good luck in your search though.

Andy from A H Motors in Pennsylvania emailed me and stated that the knobs are available seperately. I was wondering if the ring was included with the power button or by itself. You work for Ford, you should know that they would require the whole radio to be purchased, and not just the button as it is an easy way to stick it to their customer! :D Just kidding, but really it amazes me how some companies create a lot of ill will amongst their customers by practices like this.

Ordered a replacement outer volume ring knob recently from Niello Acura for ~$12, its the black one with a small dot that illuminates when the lights are on.

1. Get a firm grip of the volume ring.
2. Slide towards you with just a little force.
3. The on/off button ring comes off with the volume ring.
4. Slide in the replacement ring.
5. Snap in the new on/off button.
6. Test.

I could go on for days about things FMC does to stick it to people.
