This is a quick note to those planning on attending the Midwest Spring Fling. I would have posted in the event thread, but it is getting very long and I did not want you guys to miss this one quick note.

If you have an RC car, bring it to the event! I have spoken to a few of the confirmed members and I know at least 5 of us have cars. It doesn't need to be an NSX Rc car (althought the few we have coming now are) :)

We will be setting up a carbon copy of the course our real NSX's will be autocrossing with RC sized cones. All gas and Electric RC cars and trucks are welcomed and encouraged! We can road race or drag race them if you guys want! It should be a fun add on. See you all there........!

Man, that sounds like a cool idea. Maybe I should think of something like that next time we have an NSX autocross or road course event. I'd bring my stash of electric 1/10 cars. :D

Take pics!!!!

We'll take lots of pics.

I think SJ228 has the gas powered realtime racing NSX, so I know I won't want to drag race him :)

I have a brooklands grean pearl painted HPI NSX 200mm (that I probably won't drive so I don't screw it up) :) and I just got the new 2004 HPI NSX body for my 190mm sprint. Of course in conjunction with the event sponsor, my 190mm NSX will have the new yokohama A048 RC race rubber :D

Aaron,

Did HPI come out with a 190mm version of the 2004 white Mobil NSX? I got that body in 200mm, but I'd like to also get a 190mm version.

Randy, It's not officially on the menu yet, but a friend over there got one for me in advance. It's the 2004 NSX body. It has the new style headlights, taillights, and rear vailance. We painted mine blue, but they have the mobil 1 decals available too. I'll shoot a pic of it when I get home.

how I spent my day off

Well, after sitting for over 2 years, I did an engine swap today, in preparation for the Spring Fling.

I'm really glad Aaron suggested this, as I've been meaning to get this thing running again!!

Sweet!!! That means I gotta get another HPI body. I was able to get the 200mm version last month from another member. When that 190mm comes out, I'm gonna get that too!!

You're so lucky. It's nice to have friends in cool places. :)

Thanks for the 411.

I know what you mean. Sometimes it takes an NSX event to get me rolling on my R/C stuff too. I got around to finally putting together an Ofna Z10 with a HotBodies NSX in time for the first Prime Canyon Drive in 2001, and also off my butt to put together a 1/18 Micro RS4 with HPI NSX body that I had for over a year and a half in time for NSXPO last October.
