I have heard that the rear tires on the NSX wear out pretty quickly. I have only owned mine for a week now but when the time comes to replace the rear tires do i need to replace all 4 or just the rear two? Also do i need to stick with the same brand of tire that are on the fronts?

Thanks

It's usually a good idea to use the same brand and model of tire on the rear as on the front.

Therefore, when you need to replace the rear tires but not the front tires, you have a choice. You can get a new pair of rear tires that are the same brand and model as the front tires, or you can replace all four tires (even though the front tires may not need it).

The front tires usually last 2-3 times as long as the rear tires. So if you're starting out with a set of four tires with plenty of tread, and the rears wear out, you can get another set to match the front. Then, by the time the rears wear out again, the fronts should be ready to replace as well, and you can get a set of four new matching tires at that time.

Thats a good idea, so basically i'd skip buying the front tires for a set. Is this what you mean?

1st set: fresh tires with plenty of tread
2nd set: buy just rears
3rd set: buy front and rears

thanks
