Recommend best exhaust set up with $1200 budget

All depends on what you want more, sound or power. Sound = pride v2, power= obx headers and a used taitec exhaust.

+1 though I am not sure about those specific headers. You want headers, trust me I just did mine and its a noticeable power bump. The taitec gtlw is awesome, YouTube it or come hear it in person sometime, some if us locals have it.

I got a RM dual DTM for best offer

If I were you I would PM this guy and take this. It is the same as B&B. I have the DTM quad tips as well and they look awesome on the NA1 valence. This exhaust sounds like the flowmaster without the drone (mostly lol). The V2 is a nice exhaust if you like that tinny, high-pitched exotic sound, which a lot of guys do. The B&B/RM is more of the muscle-car sound, throaty and menacing at low rpm builds to a roar/howl at WOT. I prefer it. Plus, the B&B is 10 lbs lighter than OEM and nets you about 10 whp. You can use stock cats with it- as others have said, no need to remove.

He can look for some newer style oem headers as well.

I agree with Honcho. I'm only a 3-week NSX owner, and a new Prime member, but my '92 came with the RM/B&B exhaust with the DTM tips and I love it. My last car (10 years) was a 911 with a custom exhaust system that sounded magnificent, but this NSX sounds better. My only complaint is the tailpipes - the second pipe on each side is cosmetic only, and one side really doesn't fit right, comes out of the valance a bit of an angle. Given the quality build and what they go for new, this guy's asking price is a deal.

Thanks for the advise! Will contact him

The exhaust is beautiful isn't it? I almost wanted to mount it on my wall vs. installing it on my NSX!

I will be upgrading my stock exhaust in the next weeks and i want to know what you guys recommend for best sound, I want to be able to hear i deep sound when at idle and and better sound when going into gears...

Also is it neccesary to get test pipes to get a good sound, if yes then the budget has to include test pipes.... I'll be installing it myself with a friend ;)

The key is that i want something more in the loud side rather than quiet

I have test pipes on my pride v2. I suggest you buy headers. The search is your friend:biggrin:
