removing transmission problem??

I have everything unbolted, transmission in 2 inches out, but it wont come out.. it feels like something in the middle of the clutch is stuck? could this be a snap ring problem or something???? Is there anything extra i should change with my new clutch??

I haven't done the nsx transmission before but in my other vehicles, whenever the transmission comes off, I look into possibly replacing a 1)rear main seal 2) slave cylinder 3) clutch assembly 4)flywheel. Then since the tranny is down, I'd check the boots on the CVs, regrease joints and reboot them.

x2 clutch fork..pull the clutch fork out and the tranny will come out..

No answers, but let me know how you solved the problem. That will be my next project DIY replace Clutch.

i had the same problem i forgot to pull the clutch fork.

Seems like you have everything out of the way except for the fork...and YES the tranny is heavy to some people :biggrin:

58kg for the gearbox.

I thought it was closer to 70 kg, as I thought 150 lbs is about right. I got mine out using a regular floor jack to support the weight, but borrowed a friend's gearbox jack (with the wide baseplate) to install. Install was harder than removal.

Add a light flywheel, def. one of the best upgrades.
