Maybe I'm a little slow when it comes to forums and how to use them, but I have no idea of where or how this reputation stuff works. Until a minute ago I didn't even know anyone had ever commented on anything I have written Could someone more knowledgable than me maybe write up a little post on how it all works? I am actually a little afraid to write this post, wondering if the info is out there and I just have not come accross it? But I have tried looking and searching the topic... with no success. TIA

No need to be afraid to ask, but yes, it's already out there. The way you could have found it would have been to perform a search of all topics in this specific forum with the word "reputation" in the title. Your search would have turned up 9 topics, including this one which contains a complete explanation:
