RIP Sir Stirling Moss

RIP indeed. Legendary driver.
Little story: as a college student in London in the late 60's, I lived in the Chelsea area. One Saturday morning, mingling amongst us on the popular Kings Road, was Sterling Moss on a bicycle. A friend and I chatted with him. He had lost his license because of a speeding ticket and was moving about on 2 wheels. I recall he was a wonderful guy.

May he Rest In Peace. A heckuva driver who lived through the deadly years!
During the 1957 Sebring 12 Hours, Stirling Moss slowed down at the Hairpin so someone could hand him a cold bottle of Coca-Cola. Legendary photo-journalist Bernard Cahier handed Moss the Coke at the Hairpin, and on the next lap Moss tossed the empty bottle!
