love em

There's lots of posts about these - search on "Roja".

When they first came out there were some concerns about the quality and strength of these rims. They are manufactured by American Racing or by the same manufacturer of American Racing and they aren't known for their HIGH quality.

This was when I faded out of the import scene so I never found out the answer. So how is the quality? How are they mannufactured? Cast? Forged?

First, let me say that I have a set of RO-JA R2-5 wheels (18's up front & 19's in the rear) with gunmetal spokes/polished lip on my yellow 2005 NSX and I love them...they look absolutely great. Actually, these were already installed by the dealership when I first say the car on the showroom floor. As for quality, a JPL/NASA engineer (my brother) told me that these wheels are as good as any that come out of Rays Engineering in Japan....what do I know.

If you check out the RO-JA website, you will find there are 3 different wheels referred to as the "Signature Series": the Formula 1, Formula 2 & R2-5. If you click on "check out RO-JA featured rides", you will find 4 additional wheels.

Jim, the image of the wheel you show is the Formula 7, as is the one in the image submitted by 'andyray1983', but the RO-JA website shows it only in silver. Maybe the gunmetal finish is no longer available, you'd have to check directly with RO-JA.

I hope this information will be of some help to you.

James,

I would go with the gunmetal grey spokes. I think the silver ones would get lost visually.

i agree, i would also go with gunmetal spokes with a polished lip on a silver car, will help to break it up a bit. Also, if the silver rojas are a different silver than your car, they may just not look right overall.

Ok, Guys. Very Funny, Who decided to bring this post back to life?

I originally post this question LAST YEAR, since than I bought the Ro-Ja Formula 5 in silver and 18/19 set up. The silver is just slightly lighter than the Silverstone of my NSX, which turn out great.

That is until I went to a monthly meeting and talk to Rotora in to doing a partial sponsorship for me on their BBK. So I did the only thing there is to do, bought another set of wheels that would clear BBK. I still have the Ro_Ja in boxes collecting dust. Thinking about selling them now.

Thanks to the new CF wheels that just came out, I might be selling both set pretty soon to get a set of the CF wheels.

the NEWER more EXPENSIVE RO_JAS are produced by Rays Engineering - same manufacturer of Volk Racing. Rather have Volks though
