Out for a drive to Los Gatos to test drive Bentley Continental I got a chip on my hood half the size of my pinkey nail all the way down to the primer. What should be my expectation on repair. Can it look decent with body shop doing touch-up? My car is a 05 blue

Get the touch up paint from dealer. Build repair up somewhat higher & wider than defect. Use several coats, not 1 thick one. Get Norton chip & scratch repair system from National Automotive Lines (natauto.com). Item #37913, ~$34. Follow directions in kit using their pads, paper, & polishes. This was featured on Dream Car Garage this year if you can find a rerun. Not affiliated with anyone or anything. Just saw the episode & ordered a kit. Haven't had time to try it yet.

by the way, if you need 2000 grit wet/dry sandpaper you can get it at Walmart. They also have 1600 grit. They also carry toothpicks and matchsticks for the touchup :biggrin:
