We are on for Sacramento Raceway for some fun 1/4 mile test and tuning runs on Saturday 11/18, depending on the weather.

The itinerary is to leave the Bay Area at 8:30am, no later than 9am, so we can drive to Sacramento. Takes about 1.5 hours to get there driving around 70mph  We can have brunch at IHOP around 10-10:30 and that gives us about an hour to eat.

We should try and get to Sacramento Raceway by 11:30 so we can check in and get everything organized. The first runs start at 12 noon and lasts till 4pm. Participants are $50 and Spectators are $10. Must have a helmet if your car is faster than 14 seconds

We should find locations right off the freeway to meet with others. The route that we are taking is Highway 80 then to Highway 50 and the exit is Bradshaw.

Our first place to meet is Emeryville in front of Circuit City parking lot as that is right off the freeway and centralized for everyone in the Bay Area. The next stop could be in Vacaville at the Outlets. From there, we head straight to IHOP off Bradshaw.

This is the list of people who are going if the weather permits:

Participants:
1) Litespeeds (Sid)
2) RedlineRex (Paul)
3) Ryan1926 (Ryan)
4) RavnNSX (Rey)

Gentlemen, we wish you the best and we truly would have loved to either attend or spectate as you are coming to our own backyard/turf

Unfortunately, there seems to be a total lack of coordinating events as evidenced by the conflict in the schedules we find ourselves. I thought this event was going to be on 11/4 until I went back and read the thread again to see what happened. On 11/01 it was changed to 11/18.

On 11/18, the same date/time, we are holding our club meeting with an invite to all the Bay/East Bay folks to join us at The Dead Fish and welcoming Nalesh and his wife as they move from East Bay to Lincoln. This has been amply discussed here: http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showthread.php?t=77885

Having options to do different things is great. Our mutual interest ought to be to promote club sponsored activities by reinforcing the benefits of being part of the NSXCA. The stronger the club, the more benefits can be drawn from sponsors and supporters to all. YMMV.

The Vettes might not be coming out because they think their cars might be faster than 12 seconds and if that is the case, they will need rollbars or other safety devices installed or they will get kicked out. I don't think they want to spend $50 to just make one run.
I will know as it gets closer to the weekend. Should be lots of fun. I am going to bring my camcorder so I can record some runs.

Anyone have spare drag radials for BBK? I'd like to see what my car can do in 1/4 mile this saturday!

Now if i'm calculating correct. I have 381 rwhp = 448 hp. Car weighs roughly 3000, so i should be in the high 11's or low 12's?

It all depends on your launch. The last time I went I couldn't break into the 12's even though I am putting down ~ 350 rwhp. My 60 ft. times were horrible (2.2-2.4), but I was trapping 110-111 mph. Those trap speeds should be good for mid 12's but the best I could do was a 13.0. Your mph at the end of the 1/4 mile should be a good indicator of your car's hp.

i have a set of dr's on a pair of the oem 16" rears. i doubt they will clear your bbk, but i wouldn't know for sure since i'm still running the oem brake setup. you are more that welcome to use them is they will work out. let me know!

Hey Paul,

If Rey can't run them perhaps I will take you up on the offer. Just not sure where I will put my HRE's if I swap out my rims at the track...

OEM rears WON'T fit on BBK, thanks for the offer though!
Ryan, all yours bud!! We'll watch your HRE's for you! IT's not like all of us can go all @ once, besides, one of us will have a partner along for the ride.

BTW, what time are we all planning to meet up? caravan?

Hey Rey,
Let's meet up at Emeryville in the Circuit City parking lot off Powell St at 8:30am. I would rather say 8:30 instead of 9 because I don't want to be late and not be able to sit down and have a nice brunch in Sacramento.
The NSX does not lose as much HP through the drivetrain like most vehicles so if your car is putting out 381 Rwhp, it is probably around 410 at the fly.

I was able to get a 2.0xx 0-60' time with my 18x10 heavy Volk AV3 wheels with 275/35/18 Bridgestone S02 tires. I think you should be fine with your street setup.

When we run, we usually run in a group classified for similar cars. I am hoping that someone else will also drive up there with a car that we can put the HRE's in while we run, or is willing to watch over the wheels during our short sessions. Maybe you can bring a cable lock and lock them up? Just a thought.

Hey Fellas,
Do you guys have helmets because you will need them in order to run. Just want to remind you.

I am planning on swapping rims with my brother (OEM 16/17's with Pilots) so I won't have to worry about my HRE's at the track. I will bring a cable lock in the event that I swap on Paul's drag radials!

Sid & Rey,
Where do you want to meet-up with me? I am located right at the Highway 80/Highway 680 junction in Fairfield. There is a Westfield Shopping mall right off the freeway (Travis Blvd. Exit). We can meet up in the Border's parking lot (next to the Mimi's Cafe and Johnny Carino's restaurant). Let me know.

Hey Ryan,
I was thinking about Vacaville outlets but if you want to meet right off of Highway 80, that would be fine. I just don't want to back track up 680 so just tell me what exit off Highway 80 and where you want to meet.

No problem. We can meet up in the Border's parking lot in Fairfield, which is right off Highway 80.

-Take the Travis Blvd. exit and veer right

-At the next light make a right turn (Fresh Choice will be on the corner on the left side)

-At the next light make a left followed by an immediate right into the Johnny Carino's/Mimis Cafe parking lot. The Border's will be on your left.

Let me know if that works.

That sounds like a plan. I figure if we leave Emeryville by 8:45am, we should be able to get to your destination around 9:15-9:30.

OKAY for 8:30
So we're only losing .07%? That can't be right?

It is a GO! Weather looks like it will cooperate. See you guys at Emeryville at 8:30am.

I messed up and the bookstore in Fairfield that I will be meeting you guys at is a "Barnes and Noble" and NOT a "Border's". Sorry 'bout that.

It was fun day guys! Thanks for setting this up Sidney! Let me know when you guys are ready to do it again!
