SF East Bay / Tri Valley SMOG Shops?

I need to get my NSX in for a SMOG check next week so I can send in my DMV renewal. I ran a search and found a couple of mentions of SMOG stations in the Pleasanton / Dublin / Livermore / San Ramon area, but nothing specific.

Any advice on where I should go (not Test only station - need a regular one), or should I just go to Pleasanton Acura?

you might want to try my uncle's shop, make sure you turn off the TCS during the SMOG.

Nalesh - I took mine to the Valero Station at the corner of San Ramon Valley Blvd. and Sycamore Valley Road in Danville.

The guy did not have a in ground dyno thing and since the car was "low" (stock height BTW) he did the smog with the car parked. I do not know what they are supposed to do, all I know is I got my smog check and paid the bill. One and done in 30 minutes! I stayed with the car the whole time, no problems at all.

Good luck, just cost me $410 to register mine. Did not need the smog this time, but did when I bought it in June 2004.

I think since 2004 all Smog must be done with the "In Ground Dyno" best to double check wherever you go.

Got mine done at Foreign Affair in Santa Clara with no problem.

steve is right, the newer smog equitment costed ALOT to upgrade.

took mine to expert smog & tune in castro valley. passed w/flying colors. had a $10 coupon so it was just $48 total.

I got the SMOG done at a shop in Pleasanton called "Precision Auto Repair". They only work on Honda and Acura vehicles. Paid $80 for the SMOG + $8.25 for the cert. They did a good job - very, very clean shop and very nice guys. They even knew to turn off the TCS (I didn't even have to tell them).
