Came across this company in Niagara Falls N.Y. called CBI Parcel Services that holds shipments for pickup. They charge a flat fee of $5.95 per parcel and NO DAILY CHARGES. I have had a few parcels sent there in the last little while and it's worked out great. You save big on the brokerage fees and in most cases the duty when you clear the stuff yourself. They're located about 5 min form the rainbow bridge and even have a toll free number that actually works from Canada! The staff there are great, I have dealt with Dave...super nice guy.
