Im not sure if this is the proper place for this thread but..... Im looking to replace my stock NSX seats with something. My requirements are they recline and all black. But post up suggestions... I was thinking about the Sparco Chronos but no one can tell me if they fit in the NSX. But im open to other suggestions. Thanks.

In a search for the perfect seat I was looking for something light, great looking, funtional, comfortable, lower my position to avoid head rub, all the while offering superior support, and hope beyond hope power adjustable.

While doing a simple quick mod in the mean time I installed a Dali leather seat cushion to a stock seat.
When pulling it out I was amazed at how light it was. Obviously Honda superior quality as well.
After installation I discovered that the stock seat satisfied ALL my requirements including more grip as the lowed position added side support and wedged me lower into the seat while still providing reasonable comfort.

If this seat had SPARCO written on the headrest it would sell for $2000.

+1 or the Downforce NSX-R seats in Ivory Alcantara. *drool* :D

LOVE the bride Gias. I bought them without sitting in them just by the description that they'd fit me "6'1" 200 pound guy.

I have yet to put them in my car but I've sat in them sitting on my floor. Mine are the same as pictured but light grey/black letter stitching and black background so you can barley notice it from a distance. Plus they are made in Kevlar and recline.

I need adjustable seats though... I dont want fixed back seat. I wouldn't mind something covered in ivory, I thought it would be much harder and narrow my selection down.... black seems to go with everything.

I agree with reclining seats. Some of the fixed back look awesome but just how comfortable are they really?

I don't see the need to recline. The proper incline for driving is built into the seats. Anything much different than that is just improper seating position. You may be needing to compensate for something like low headroom or a seat that doesn't go back far enough with extra recline, but the latter is not an issue in the NSX.

Reclining options also add weight. The factory seat is actually VERY light. What adds weight to it are the powered steel rails. If you use an aftermarket seat with the same type of rail, you aren't saving much weight if any.

As for headroom... the factory seat shell TOUCHES the carpet at its lowest point. No other seat can give you more headroom by design because there is nowhere to go lower. The way headroom is gained with aftermarket seats (and lost with some) is that there is less cushion. The same thing which you can do yourself by changing the bottom cushion.

Pole positions are a very tight fit with anyone medium/large. I am a 33 waist and they are uncomfortable for me both in the waist and especially in the shoulders. If you want to change anyway, I recommend you look into the F1spec seats, they are a great value. There is a thread here in the group buy section. If you are willing to spend more, you can get the Downforce Type R replica.

I am in desperate need of a set of pole positions *wipes drool from cheek*

Can't go wrong (ergonomics/quality/holding power) with Recaros.

I have a set of Pole Positions recently reupholstered in ultra-seude with heated seat pads for my s2000 - they are VERY VERY comfortable seats! :)

I have Bride Stradia Sport and Euro II in my NSX and those are also super comfortable. Check my Bride seat fitment thread for more info.
