Show Wheels 18/19

Go Wheels 17/18

Note; I bought a spots car for performance and I like the Camaraderie at car shows.

Can you get some of both? What about getting the Volk in a 17/18 setup instead of 18/19 (if the come in 17/18 for the style you want).

That is a tough question that I have been contemplating myself. I ended up buying OEM wheels for the spirited drives and have Volks for cruizing around town and to car shows. Good luck on your decision.

I would go with the show... Unless your main intent is to always "GO"...

I've not yet seen the GT-V's in 17/18 combo. Not even sure if they offer that size but it would be crazy for them not to. You should have both if you track your car. I love GT-V's, but if I tracked mine I would opt for some used lightweight 17/18's. Definately 18/19 on the GT-V's for show.

I'll go for show:wink:

If you really want a 'GO' wheel try RE30. I was at a wheel shop this afternoon, they had CE28N 18x? ,TE37 17x7.5 and an RE30 18x9.5. And the RE30 was definitely lightest of the lot! Just made me want a set :frown: just because I know how light it is physically.

personally i think too-blingy wheels are a distraction to the overal synergy- this ain't no caddy. the 17/18 combo looks just as good and i bet you if you had no other pic to compare you would not even notice the size difference! if you are spending money, find a choice that will satisfy both criteria.

I'm with swerve on this one- when you can get lightweight forged wheels that look this good, why not stick with GO?

Of course, everything is personal taste, and I understand the Imelda Marcos thing- only had the car three years, and I've got two additioal sets of rims- one, some Volk LE37K's with "all season" for Northern CA "winter" driving, and a set of Prodrive GC-07 with high performance summer tires.

Looks are a very personal judgement, anyway- one person's bling may be another's over done.

WOW!!!

Just by looking at that picture makes me happy!

My wife has become progressively impatient with me and my NSX. So, my NSX still is bone stock!! It's kind of fun that way, too.

I am still in search for my next wheels and will slowly build up the inventory - show or go!

Yong, all I know is that you had better "Go" and "Show" at Kid's Day!!!!!

 Roger, I am definitely impressed with your persistency.

As a matter of fact, I have been consistently reminding my senior colleagues at work about being able to take a day off that day. I will cross my fingers

This year we're going to have 2 dozen cars there!!! I'm bringing my sales assistant (from work), who's been with me for 11 years and currently is undergoing chemo for her 3rd bout with cancer in 4 years. I hope that she'll be fully recovered from the surgery that she's yet to have. We also will have SteveNY with his 360 Spider join us, and of course we expect you to make the trip yet again. I apologize for the threadjacking, but hey, it's for a great cause!

Thread was hi jack now its dead. I still would like input.

IMHO, I'd go with your 'GO' wheels. They look every bit as good as your show wheels to me.

Thread was hi jack now its dead. I still would like Since I did some thread jacking here, I'll weigh in with my opinion. I like your "go wheels", just put some center caps on and you'll have "go with show", the best of both worlds!!!

I like the go wheels much better...

why not 18/18 with those?

a little of the best of both worlds...

They both look great, even if "GO" is not being considered. I would still pick CE28N, unless the GTV has gold or gunmetal spokes+bbk to match it.

The weight difference between the two set of wheels will be significant. Approximately ~40lbs of rotating mass total. Nevertheless, there are also possible weight gain from the larger tires.

CE28N earned my vote.
