I test drove a Porsche today at a Mercedes dealership. It was beautiful all around both inside and out. When I looked in the engine bay, I noticed that the factory paint on the panel bolts had been broken. The paint on the bolts were flaking. The color under the flakes is the body color, not primer or bare metal. The dealer tried to convince me that the bolts/lid was probably removed during the new clutch install and the flaking was from the heat. They put a paint meter to it and it was 0.3 to 0.7 throughout the rear. They said this meant it wasn't repainted. Does all this jive or are they trying to pull a quick one?
