Small leak out of radiator bleeder valve?

I've had my 91 NSX (59k miles - stock) for about 1.5 months now. I noticed a few days ago that it started to leave a small puddle of coolant overnight in the front driver's side, about a 4" diameter. When I finally jacked it up and got underneath it everything was dry, including both drain plugs, but that small bleeder valve at the bottom of the radiator directly below the drain plug was ever so slightly dripping coolant. I went ahead and put a vacuum plug on the port and it seems to have stopped it. Anyone else have this issue? What exactly does it mean?

The drain plug has an o-ring. Time to replace it;)

19012-PD2-004 is the part number. Get two, change the top one as well.

So its actually the o-ring on the plastic wingnut drain valve that's causing that bleeder valve to leak? Figured a bad o-ring would have caused the actual wingnut to leak. Guess I'll head to the dealership!

+1 on that get new O-ring but since Acura's Georgia warehouse is snowed in you may be waiting till it clears this is what Acura in tampa told me.

on all parts... that ships from GA warehouse.

Ah, looked this morning and since I had plugged its first outlet of release, its now leaking out of the drain plug. Thanks nsxprime! Hopefully my first maintenance item will be easy

Just to close this thread out - I ordered two new drain plugs as well as two new o-rings. Swapped them out and good to go! I also ordered two new trunk gas stays and swapped them as well. Thanks again NSXprime!!

Just to open this thread up again..... uhmm, did you change the coolant? - Its GREEN and that means its not Type II Honda/Acura coolant and some other crap that is rotting away (not only your tiny o-rings) but probably your thermostat, and water pump; Extending this concern further, did you change all 23 hoses?

Welcome to the wonderful world of NSX maintenance
