It's a Win Win Win Win situation:smile:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chantix
Varenicline (Chantix®, Pfizer, usually in the form of varenicline tartrate) is a prescription medication used to treat smoking addiction. By acting similarly to nicotine on the brain it reduces user cravings for cigarettes and other tobacco products and may assist some patients in smoking cessation. In May, 2006, it was approved for sale in the United States. On August 1, 2006, Pfizer announced that Chantix was available for sale in the United States, and on September 29, 2006, it was approved for sale in the European Union with the trade name Champix.
DocL said:You can only quit if you really want to quit. Doing it for someone else will only lead to a failure. I work with a lot of my patients on smoking cessation and it takes a lot of diligence. Nicotine is more addictive than Cocaine or crystal meth, so you need look at this like a drug addiction and go about treating it as such. The best way to break the habit is to work with a doctor. I only know of a few people who have been successful going at it alone.
Feel free to PM me if you need any advice.
