I have a set of 215/40-17 GSD3s on the front wheels (as of this morning.) And a set of 275/35-18 SO3s still clinging to life on the rears. So far I've noticed that the GSD3s feel a bit "easier" when initiating a turn. Anyone else notice that?

I'm not going to do any high G hijinks on the onramps until the rears get their GSD3s in a couple of days.

A022 forever, I'd be giddy...

Yes, I feel the same w/ my 215/40/ZR17 F1 GS-D3's... other drivers have attributed it to a softer-sidewall vs. other stiffer sidewall ultrahigh-performance tires. It certainly gives that feeling though, a slight momentary mushy feeling... then they stick like white-on-rice (better than tires that lack the momentary mushy feeling).

I wonder if this is perhaps due to the F1 GS-D3's wider/thicker portion of the sidewall which is a feature to protect the lip of the wheel...

I wonder what genius in their marketing department really believes that a rubber balloon filled with 30psi of air is going to withstand the force of 3000 lbs of car hitting a curb. Do they actually say what it will protect the wheel from? Maybe a wet cornflake but that's about it. You curb your wheels, they're gonna look like a 60 year old streetwalkers ass. No ifs ands or buts.
