I had a little encounter with a new M3 on the way home from work in the Zanardi, while speeding off from the light I realized I couldnt really run all the way to the redline and had to keep shifting gears. As I pulled off onto my exit, I heard a loud humming noise from under the car. I pull into my driveway I see coolant all underneath the car and the smoke starts coming from under the hood. I presume the ECU prevented me from hitting redline to prevent any engine damage but I'm so upset:mad: What a bummer:confused:

Sorry to hear. Hopefully you didn't damage the engine. I'm surprised that a 1999 NSX already experiencing radiator hoses issues so soon. I believe you have low miles on the car too. 26-28K? That's exactly what I was afraid of happening in my car. I won't drive it to long or too far until I have changed all 22+ hoses.

Was the radiator hose or the coolant hose at the back? The back might be possible if you don't put on the engine cover and left the car too long under the sun. I had replaced all coolant hoses with Samco hoses.

All hoses were replaced less than 500 miles ago:confused:

Not putting the blame on anyone, but maybe someone didn't install a hose correctly or full secured it. We are human, mistakes happen, unfortunately.

Uh oh. I hope there was no engine damage.

I'll know for sure 100% tonight but appears just a minor leak, no big deal but still not out of clear and present danger:wink:

I drove it on, Im kinda narotic with my NSX's so instead of just pulling into my service dept, I ship them to Larry Bastanza...the guru of NSX's:biggrin:Just was scared I blew a head gasket but the pressure test came out fine. I'm picking her back up on Sunday and putting her away for awhile. The 92 needs some loving and Im dieing to put on my 18/19 Titanium Rays rims:biggrin: The Zanardi going to be just my collectable, sitting in storage with an occasional drive out for a meet or two:wink:

Oh me too me too (pic's of my NSX's on flatbeds or trailer trucks)...sorry to thread jack Mikey.
