SSR Type-F fitment

I have some rims left over from my last car, SSR Type F in 18x9 +32 all around. Took me forever to find them and they're my fav rims! Ideally I'd love to pick up a pair of them in 18x9.5 or 18x10 for the rear, and keep the others for front/spare duty. I should make it clear I am still shopping for my X, so I cannot do test-fits at the moment and all the local cars I know are tucked away for winter :)

However, my question would be is 18x9 +32 just too extreme to fit up front on an NSX? Even with a rolled front fender? I would plan on coilovers with these, but again coming from a very different kind of car (STI) I'm not sure what latitude I'll have. I'd plan on running 235 or 245 on these as I'm not huge into the ultra-stretch look myself.

All advice is appreciated. If anybody has a pic of any rim in 18x9 +32 (or close to that) I'd love to see it and know what tire size is being run...

For reference, here's roughly how they rims look on a black NSX (I can't tell if these are CE28n or TypeF, but they're very similar designs):

A 18x9 won't fit unless you go wide body. I use to run 235/40/17 on a 17x8 +45 and it barely fit and that was with -2.8 deg of camber so the top was tucked in.

That is definitely a wide, wide body kit on the black NSX...

+3 on that - while you could (and I mean could like the same as you could jump off the empire state building) do a 235/30/18 tire and maybe (and I mean maybe like you could maybe not get arrested -or killed - for the aforementioned stunt) machine them to a + 40 and then maybe (see above)
you would get away with it if you had no liners and cut the tabs off the fenders etc.

WHY NOT JUST BUY THE RIGHT SIZE WHEELS???

You can get the proper sizes pretty easy and not only that - you'd be left with 2 spare wheels even if you did only buy rears.

Believe it or not I am actually considering doing a 18x9 front - but only for show - I would probably not try driving like that...

Haha ok point taken, no need to get agitated. ;) I'm coming to the NSX from a very different type of car. I really love these rims, but correct me if I'm wrong here, 18x9 (while larger than OEM) is a bit small to put on the rear for an aftermarket wheel, no? I see most people around here running x9.5 or x10 - or are those considered extreme fitments for the NSX on stock fenders?

If I have to sell these and get a whole new set in the right fitment, so be it since I plan to enjoy this car (not drive it at 15km/h dodging every pebble on the road), but wondering if it's possible/worth it to hang onto at least 2 for one end of the car.

I don't know about that...

I'm looking into the type F setup, and trying to figure everything out.

Anyone know what is the size and offset here from this link?

I'm looking to go 17F/18R (17x7.5 // 18x 9-10) *Open to the width in the rear

I dont want to be "hella flush," more clean/neat and no issues to worry about. If you catch my drift. I dont like stretch tires if I can avoid that as well.

All help is much appreciated.

Hey gsrboy, Thanks for the info! I definitely am digging that setup. What size tires are you running?

Can you possibly take some closeup shots for me so I can see a detailed fitment?

Much Appreciated!
