Starter and ignition switch question

anyone had to replace the starter and then the ignition switch one week after on their NSX - mine is a 91 w/ 90,000 kms or 56,000 miles

Is that normal at all ??? I have always driven hondas till 250,000 kms and never had to replace any of these !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am starting to question the reliability of my car !!!!

Replacment of the ignition switch is common, replacing the starter is very uncommon. Was the starter replaced first and then the ignition switch? Maybe the starter was not bad it was just the switch.

On a 15+ yrs old car, anything can and will break. Just budget for unexpected repairs, $1500/yr should be expected. Overall the starter and ignition switch only lasted 15 years! How much longer do you realistically expect it to last?

Sounds like trouble to me ....

I would fix the car up and sell it right away.
