Stebro is a well known company in the Ferrari aftermarket exhaust system market; they produce systems for 100's of cars, and their quality is top notch. Historically sound clips have proven to be bad indicators of an exhaust system's true output, so, given Stebro's reputation, I wouldn't easily dismiss this system.
I believe Stebro produced a 1-off for a local customer, than made a jig and produced this second copy; from what I remember, they have been trying to sell this exhaust for some time now, perhaps close to a year, with no takers... they have had it advertised for as low as $1800, and I recall exchanging some emails some time ago with their sales department, asking if a lower price were possible. It seems they are trying the opposite with their pricing stratgey
It's an interesting option for exhaust; given the layout, I would expect it to sound similar to a flowmaster setup (which is one of the better nsx sounds), but with awesome proven build quality, great-looking tips, and a solid company backing up the system. I think this would be worth perhaps $1200, but not $2500... If it were possible to listen to the system in person, perhaps it would be easier to justify the higher price.
