Street Meet in the Arctic

On Saturday, 27th May some friends of mine and myself arranged a Street Meet at the parking lot of a local shopping senter in my hometown (appx. 200 km north of the Arctic Circle).
The meeting was open for anyone and among the 70 cars participating, there were all kind of cars ranging from 65 VW Cab, via amcars, family cars, fast&furious clones, a dozen of Hondas up to 2006 Audi Q7. Despite the cold and wet weather, we had a great time. A local firm also arranged for a car slalom with RC car and great prices to the winners. Very popular activity!
We also had a few tin cups and I have enclosed some pictures, among them one of a young boy in a black Civic driving 3 hours each way to participate. He was all smile when he left for home in the afternoon. :biggrin:

Only the owners and passengers of the cars participating, are allowed to vote. Not the spectators.

Looks like a great event. I was supposed to be there to bring that throphy home, but I am glad that it went to somebody in the familie :wink:

This happened to a friend of mine too. Of course his NSX was the only one attending the meeting.
