Suggestion for For Sale forum

Me and at least a few other people are having hard time with the lag between people submitting for sale threads and approval.
Can we just get rid of the approval process and allow real time submission. If there are any spamming or threads that do not obey nsxprime rules, moderators can delete those.
Since I am here pretty much every day, I can even volunteer to be one of the moderators to keep an eye on for sale threads.
What do you guys think?

I don't think someone that has been a member since August 2006 would be considered as someone that is here every day? I do agree that things could be better in the For Sale Forums. It was 3 or 4 days from when I posted my last ad till it showed up.

I don't think when I joined has anything to do with being a moderator. If you are active member it is good enough.

What is the hard time? So it takes longer, maybe even a week longer, what is the difficulty?

I can tell you that it is easier to approve a few good posts, than try and delete hundreds of malformed ones. Kinda like spam.

Since I am here pretty much every day

Again, what is the downside if you are "here" everyday?

While you might be an great active member, your short experience deprives you of the knowledge of why things are and how they got that way.

An Active Member would volunteer to "actively" moderate.

Not "passively" moderate after the fact....what happens if you get behind? A few days, then a few weeks and you have 1000's of mal-posts...you won't do it and the quality will degenerate quickly, confidence will drop and nobody will use it. And everybody will complain about the lack of quality.

Think about it: you really just want the same quality, low labor cost with immediate speed. However, the real world works like this: "Good, Cheap or Fast", choose any two.

I'd rather have Good and Cheap. Thanks Anytime!

Maybe for you, but what about the other 12,540 NSXPrime Members?

I don't see why you are having such a hard time with this? I suggested something that works and doesn't piss people off who want to sell items right away without waiting for weeks to get approved. I guess the owner of this site( who I am not sure even read my thread) doesn't care to comment.

You know very well that it only takes a few days at most, not weeks.

Don't be such a crybaby...

Easy there, my friend. Don't start throwing stones this early in the game.
You should love it now, as it used to me only me doing it! I would wake up and moderate, come home from work and moderate and then throughout the night and right before bed. Posts/threads used to be moderated after they hit the boards and then I would go thru countless amounts of threads/topics and filter what should stay, change or go away. Hours upon hours. Sound like work or fun? Keep in mind that Prime is free and is run by volunteers. It does however accept donations to help keep it running, since there are costs that go along with it.
Take care,
JOhn :smile
