Install the JAVA plug in. Should just have to click on the window and it will download and install.

You don’t have to sign-up. Just enter a name and click the "connect" button.

It is open all the time. Just people normally don't go there.

You can schedule a chat for a weekday if you like. All you have to do is make a post. In addition to making a post I also send out PM's after the chat has started and invite people who are surrently signed on to come join in since everyone may not have seen the post for the chat. I was away from the chat for an hour but at one point we had 18 people in there chatting away. I must say last nite was pretty entertaining. :biggrin:
