supacaimports

Oddly enough, I've never heard of this place. The prices on those GTR's seems way too cheap.

Got word from another skyline importer who's a friend of a friend but does it on a much smaller scale at the moment. Does not acknowledge or confirm they are a legit business, but feels there are some red flags in the air about the owner whom he has met personally. Apparently unless you've got a deposit down, you can't view the car in person. Maybe it's to curb down on the lookie lous, a problem that seems to be pretty bad according to a few importers. So he maaaaaybe......well who knows for sure.......

shaaaaady.

As for wanting to get a skyline, apparently there is another skyline importer in OC who keeps his business rather quiet but also will only let you check out the cars if you got cash in hand. This is definitely due to the lookie lous wasting his time. From what I'm told though, he's definitely a good guy to go through if you're serious about picking one up. Seems they can be registered in ANY state, OTHER THAN california.

There's a guy on Prime that's pretty knowledgeable about importing skylines. He's from the RX-7 forums if I remember right. I can't remember his name though. Hopefully he'll chime in.

THere would be some deals on there if they turn out legit and have actually registerable automobiles. It looks like they are registering vehicles as show vehicles or autos for a "short stay in the u.s."

hell my d.m.v. would fall for it.

I just can't figure out the 53k USD asking price on a 91 NSX with 99km's?

I've never heard of this company before. Realize that it's very easy to get a Skyline here (the only reason mine is taking so long is than my RI is stuck in Japan - I got the Supra through him as well). Making it street legal is another thing. There are very few 100% street legal Skylines in the US due to the Motorex fiasco (this loophole is now closed). You can still get any Skyline titled, registered and insured, but it still won't be a 100% street legal vehicle. It is up to the specific state to enforce the NHTSA/DOT regulations that make it street illegal. Are you comfortable driving a grey market vehicle? I am!!! I sure wouldn't be in CA though.
