Hi Yannick! no 58 - pretty low number.
Anyway, I’m still searching for THE lowest NSX-VINs in European countries lol …

Your 1st Reg. Date is pretty interesting – so far THE earliest one I’m aware of in Europe.

Btw – I’m also searching for THE highest NSX-VINs (`91 model) in European countries …

To my knowledge, my NSX was the second one registered in Switzerland, by Honda Automobiles (Suisse) SA, as an executive car.
A few years ago, I met the owner of the first Swiss-registered NSX according to him, and there is no reason to doubt it. He lives very close to the border with Switzerland and this car is now in France.

For any year or just earliest NA1 ? My NA2 is number 002 in '98.
In fact, for any year – and here is why:
NSX-The-Truth.jpg

As you can see, there is no significant difference between FACT (1952 cars) & FICTION (2255 cars). So I think the truth is somewhere in between: Honda produced between 1990 and 2005 around 2100 NSXs with EUROPEAN Specs and „brand marked“ these 2100 NSX-Chassis with EUROPEAN VINs/FINs – and not with ACURA (US)- or JDM (Japanese)- or Canadian-VINs.

Btw - THIS …

https://www.nsxprime.com/threads/nsx-sold-in-canada-by-year.129992/#post-1257267

… is NOT the whole true story about the question „How many 1st Gen. NSXs Honda sold in Europe?“

When it comes to „Europe“ (DE/CH/FR/AT/IT/BE/NL etc), the numbers in the mentioned Honda-Paper ("1559 sold in Europe / Middle East / Africa") could be true. But where are the remaining around 600 NSXs (!) with European FINs/Specs? In Alaska? Kazakhstan? Guatemala? Sunken in the Ocean? lol

@Zoom – no T000002? Model Year 1998?

1) JHMNA2140WT000002 (Coupé, 6-speed MT, C32B engine)
2) JHMNA1260WT000002 (Coupé, 4-speed AT, C30A engine)
3) JHMNA2170WT000002 (NSX-T, 6-speed MT, C32B engine)
4) JHMNA1270WT000002 (NSX-T, 4-speed AT, C30A engine)

So which one is your NSX? 1)? 3)? Color?

Btw – IF Zoom responds „3)“, the 3 other FINs/Cars above don’t exist, because SERIAL no „2“ (Zoom’s NSX) already exists for model year 1998. If Zoom responds „None!“ – in this case Zoom’s NSX is rather a 1997 model (model year), I guess.

Almost :)
My VIN is JHMNA2140XT000002 => I suppose it's registered for 1999 but it was initially sold in november, 1998 (and it's mechanically a 1998 model). Color was initially Silverstone Silver but it got a new paint long before I bought it and is now close to Kaiser Silver.
You can find my build log here: https://www.nsxprime.com/threads/1998-na2-coupe-full-refresh-adventures.218116/

If it's like in the US the 000001 was sold to celebrities, in the US I believe the #1 serials were bought by the likes of Larry Ellison, George Lucas, etc. in EU that would be Ayrton Senna and his family in Portugal for the first models, then I guess other celebs. FWIW my car was initially sold in Spain.

@Micha – thank you!

Unfortunately, just „T200009“ (serial no from the door sill plate) doesn’t help for the list – and here is why:

Since model year 1998 (actually since model year 1997 due to the new C32B engine), the door sill plate doesn’t tell you the model YEAR anymore. Everything you know from such a EUROPEAN door sill plate (contrary to US/Acura door sill plates) is basically the serial no itself (no 9 in this case) and „2“ on the RIGHT side from „T“ (= Tochigi, Japan) just refers to „facelift model“ (2002-2005) = NSX with fixed headlights. The model YEAR for facelift models within the complete VIN is on the LEFT side from „T“ (or „S“ for Suzuka, Japan):

Model Year 2002: 2T200009
Model Year 2003: 3T200009
Model Year 2004: 4T200009
Model Year 2005: 5S200009

So everything I can tell you – it’s not a 2005 model (because still „T“). Either it’s a 2002 model, or 2003 or 2004 model – and that’s the problem.

Wow – your NSX is definitely model year 1999 („X“) – extremely rare in Europe!

This NSX (JHMNA1270XT000005, black, NSX-T, 4-speed AT F-Matic, C30A engine) in GB/UK …

… is, in fact, the only 1999 model I could find so far in Europe at all!

Btw – „W“= 1998 model year, „X“= 1999 model year, „Y“= 2000 model year.

Serial No xxxxx1 in Europe?

Contrary to US/Acura ´91 models …

https://nsxfaq.com/decoding-an-nsx-vin/

Quote: „The first 1991 NSX available for sale in the USA had serial number 000063; all lower
numbers were pre-production prototypes.“

… in EUROPE, each and every sold NSX/model year/FIN/VIN (also ´91 model) started with serial no „1“ – definitely!

@all:
Thank you for all your input!

Hmmm... try to figure out the "mechanical difference":

https://nsxfaq.com/changes-by-year/
It's in the shop manuals, small differences every year - there is a discussion there https://www.nsxprime.com/threads/changes-by-year.218218/ there's a 1998 supplement, then a 1999 supplement, etc. - also it was definitely built in 1998 as its first registration was that year. Had to find this documentation when we performed the full refresh.

I have no doubts – Honda built especially your car (due to the low serial no 2) in autumn 1998, but it’s a 1999 model (X). The production for every new model year starts always in the previous year; mostly in late summer/autumn.

From all different sources I’m aware of – no real changes for 1998 (W) and 1999 (X) models!
„Minor changes“ were only made since the 2000 (Y) model year NSXs – snippet from Brian Long’s book:
2000-Model-Year.jpg

btw - I know exactly what you mean …

It appears that contrary to US/Canadian ACURA-NSXs, for 1998 as well as 1999 model year HONDA-NSXs (NSXs built for European countries with EU Specs) there are no supplements to already existing service manuals available (in German: keine Nachträge/Ergänzungen zu bestehenden Werkstatthandbüchern erhältlich)! Reason: I can only guess – NO CHANGES! – contrary to ACURA NSXs! Not even any „minimal“ changes to the 1997 model year NSXs!

Check this out:
https://pk-buch.de/honda-pkw/51862/...nsx-t-nachtrag-modelljahr-2000-stand-08/1999#
NSX-Werkstatthandbuecher.png

As you can see, no supplements available for model year NSXs 1992 (T1), 1996 (T5), 1998 (WT) and 1999 (XT)!
But - why? Because there were no changes!

If there would be any changes, the owner/tech would be unable to repair these changes as well as unable to order the correct/changed parts etc), because there are no supplements for these NSXs (model years) available.

Anyways, it’s not so easy to make a full „breakdown“ (changes by model year) for HONDA NSXs with EU-Specs; but it appears a little bit easier as for ACURA-NSXs, because some supplements/changes do not exist for EU-NSXs (due to no need!) … lol

Hope all this helps a litte bit ….
