we bought the new mino last week:

couldn't be more convenient:

* roughly the size of two zippo lighters stacked on top of one another, quite literally fits in the palm of your hand.

* built in mic / speaker

* recharges (and xfers automagically) via built-in usb (that neatly tucks away in < 1 second.)

* 60 mins of recording time, 2x zoom

not hd, no image stabilization, etc, but if you've got kids and want to capture them in their day-to-day lives, i can't imagine a better investment than the $190 the mino costs.

(hint: when they're older, you can't get those "little kid voices" and faces back again.)

my 1st mino project is called HazMatCats, starring our TwoBigCats about the consumer product i bought at costco last month only to find the recharger cable label reads:
WARNING: The power cord with this product contains lead, a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer, and birth defects or other reproductive harm. WASH HANDS AFTER HANDLING i hope to have the video up on youtube next week.
