Whem you store away your nsx for the winter do you leave the targa on or off? I was told by a Nissan 300z owner he leaves his T tops off to keep the seals in good shape so they don't go flat. What do you think?

Ive never stored my 96 over winter with top off.My seals/gaskets are fine.Do a search on keeping these rubber parts soft and lubricated. The worse thing for rubber of any kind is UV light.

And then there is the rodent factor. I would never leave my top off for an extended time because I don't want mice or rats setting up camp inside my beloved NSX. Those things could easily jump up on the bumper and walk right in.

11 years of storage. Targa on, car cover on, battery CTEC on. All good!

No way I would leave the targa off. If the seals were the issue, what about he doors themselves? No? Now rodents...the car cover won't stop them....

Shin-etsu the seals, targa on, covered. Simple

My targa only comes off when I Shin-etsu the seals twice a year or so.
Wish I had a NA2 hardtop....

Nether will the targa if they want in. I Leave my windows cracked and put those tree car fresheners in the cabin. Something with the strong sent keeps them out as well as keeps the interior the same temp as it is outside. Makes them less likely to build there nests. I usually store 7-8 cars a winter at the dealership and haven't had an issue since I started doing this. The 5 gal bucket / coffee can trap works wonders if you have a large amount of Mice you need to git rid of quickly.
