TCS light - HELP!

Has anyone on the forum had this issue?::confused:

Normal driving conditions, the car will "blip" (it seems like there was a sudden loss of fuel and the car "stalls" for about 1/4 second. The TCS light comes on and stays on.

Depending if I'm going or not at the time of the "blip", it happened once where I was stopped at a traffic light and the car stalled out. I had to wait about 1 minute and the car started up fine.

If I'm travelling at any sort of speed and this happens the car corrects itself and doesn't stall out.

Ive tried bypassing the TCS (so i actually hit the switch to turn off the TCS) prior to driving, but it still happens.

I've pushed the TCS button after its happened, and the light on the dash doesn't turn off.

Thoughts?? Could it be a defective TCS switch?

Easy fix, main relay. DIY fix, or buy one for $60 bucks. Takes 5 minutes to install. Do a search, it's an easy fix as well. I had the same problem a few years back. Finally the car would not start anymore. Get it fixed before you get stranded.

That'll be $99.99 plus tax.

Thanks,

Hi

I have a similar problem that I got after I changed the tires.

I had 265/30/19 Goodyear Eagle F1 at the rear. Now I have som Cooper tires in the same dim. It looks like the TCS is blinking and cutting power when I power out of corners on second gear.

I hope things will be better when I change the tires again to Dunlop Sportmaxx. But I will keep an eye on this to see if it is not the relay on mine too.

Regards
